EU Democracy Rally (2021-2023)

To shape the future together it is crucial for citizens to be well informed. In times of crises, active citizenship is especially important. The EU Democracy Rally (2021-2023), a project by Erasmus+, offers young people a range of tools that enables them to create political and social campaigns. The project aims  to empower young people to play an active part in political processes.

Ten organizations from ten EU countries, headed by Luxembourg's Zentrum fir Politesch Bildung, have developed a training program for this purpose. Each organization contributed its specific expertise in active citizenship to the project, such as human rights education, investigative journalism, game-based learning and intercultural skills.

All exercises can be accessed on the platform www.democracyrally.eu (> Resources). They cover conflict management, active listening, media skills, campaigning, wellbeing, rhetoric, EU knowledge, etc. and offer the opportunity to playfully engage with democratic processes in the form of simulation games and research activities.
