De Nieuwe Internationale School Esprit (DENISE), Amsterdam, The Netherlands: At this school Mari Varsányi is developing a competence portfolio (“Cultural and Linguistic Identity Portfolio”), which will stay with the children and young people throughout their school career. The portfolio will be geared to the Reference Framework, supported by teacher trainings, and it will first be tested with primary-school age children.
Demokrative, Zurich, Switzerland: The workshop programme of Demokrative, the Democracy Building Blocks, are in a phase of evaluation and revision. Rebecca Welge is planning to use RFCDC as a basis for evaluating and revising the programme.
Evangelische Trägergruppe für gesellschaftspolitische Jugendbildung (et), Berlin, Germany: The Protestant group of supporting organisations and AdB want to organise the planning of their education activities along the Reference Framework. To achieve this, part of the network of multipliers will first be introduced to the Reference Framework through trainings. Following this, they will reflect which competences and descriptors can be used in planning and implementing formal and non-formal education formats. After a testing phase, they will decide whether and how the Reference Framework will be integrated in the future. Hanna Lorenzen (et), Georg Pirker (adB) and Thimo Nieselt (Schwarzkopf Foundation, see below) will continuously coordinate their activities and develop some of the documents they need together.
Schwarzkopf-Stiftung Junges Europa, Berlin, Germany: In the context of the Foundation’s European policy education programmes, the head trainers from the twelve countries participating in the EU Crash Courses programme as well as the peer trainers of this programme will work with the Reference Framework.
Youth association (NGO) Belarusian Republican pioneer organization, Academy of Postgraduate (Postdiploma) Education, Minsk, Belarus: Maryna Minova wants to encourage testing the Reference Framework in the context of further training for teachers (national seminars, regional seminars, trainings in training schools).
