We heard you! Protecting children from violence
On 23 April 2024, the European Commission announced important recommendations to support EU countries ensure that children are safe and protected from violence.
Over 1,000 children's views were collected through our Platform, and together with adult's input are reflected in the recommendations.
These recommendations are to help all the people who take care of children work better together on child safety.

Advisory Board in action
Our Advisory Board met in April 2024 to review the Platform's activities to date and advise on improvements.
They workshopped on what could be priorities for the next Work Plan, and reviewed the Platform's safeguarding framework.
The child Board members participated in media, website and theatre workshops and also met with with Commission Vice-President, Dubravka Šuica.

Article 24 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the EU affirms the rights of children to express their views freely, and for those views to be taken into consideration on matters which concern them. In line with the EU Strategy on the Rights of the Child, this Platform contributes to the right for children to be heard.
